I knew there was something missing in my life – a tool to help businesses understand when I am… and am not… a satisfied customer.
I need a tail.
According to a story in the Science section of today’s New York Times (subscription required), researchers say that when a dog is happy, its tail wags more to the right. In humans its our facial muscles – we use more on the right side when we’re happy, more on the left when we’re not.
Tails are easier to read. Wish I had one.
On second thought, it’s my 46th birthday today. Even without a tail, if I were to start wagging my behind in a store, I’d knock everything off the shelves.

Happy birthday Michele!
I’m sure your tail looks great.

Flared nostils and flushed cheeks just don’t cut it anymore, do they?
Happy 46, Michele! I’m 4 months behind you which surely means I’m out of your kill zone.
