That’s what I’m feeling like these days, with a number of new clients, speaking engagements, and writing. This “on the road” stuff is getting real old, real fast (God bless my loving and supportive husband), but it does have its moments of joy.
Flew from client meetings in Denver to Austin last week for Partner Training at the Wizard of Ads home office. Two years ago, my first partner meeting involved a small group of nine in a conference room. This year, a small sea of faces (about 25 or so) greeted me as I stood up to introduce myself to the group. We now have partners in the U.S., Canada, Australia, England, and soon-to-be Denmark. The partnership continues strong growth and I look forward to the future as it reveals itself.
Saturday was the Wizard Academy reunion and “Founder’s Day,” marking a new era for the Wizard Academy — a campus on some of the most beautiful land in Texas, high on a hill overlooking Austin. New offices, classrooms, meeting halls, a chapel… everytime I return, a new building is in the works! I’ll post some of architect Marley Porter’s renderings here later.
Typical big Texas weather (meaning DOWNPOUR) couldn’t squelch the enthusiasm and joy of the day — hundreds of Academy grads and friends attended, and as the day wound down and the weather dried out, it made for a perfect evening of fellowship. Such an extraordinary group of people, hungry for knowledge, spirit, and ways to do business outside the norm of Big World.
