re:invention of the Senior Kind

Kirsten Osolind, grand mistress of the amazing re:invention blog, has a fantastic post today on the number of retired women that are launching home-based businesses. Citing several articles, Kirsten notes:

“According to BusinessWeek, more than half of all small business owners are over 50, and 17% are over 65. Entrepreneurship is a good way to overcome economic and emotional exclusion. There is even a site dedicated to Grandmother Entrepreneurs — Grandmabiz.com…”

Read the post, the articles, and start looking for ways to create small business communities of these women — they are in a major “relationship” phase and are looking for inclusion and purpose! Plus, the fact that they have a lot of money to spend on your product or service doesn’t hurt, either….
