I am sure they are right. However much human action take place where no face can be seen and under that circimstance women would have no advantage. Warfare these days is most carried out at great distance where the enemy can not even be seen. If women are so intuitive why were the planes that hit the towers on 9/11 filled with approximately equal numbers of both men and women. Just how strong is this intuition? I will say this, when women are cheating on their husbands they are better at hiding it than the other way round. Women quite simply are better lyers and therefore should be trusted less, even though men may indeed play up more frequently than women. In fact, it's so strong, I have people convinced I'm psychic. But, really, the ability to 'read' people just by the expression on their faces is not a learned process, as you so aptly said. I rely on my ability to 'read' a situation by observing body language and facial expressions, and I am seldom wrong. People just don't know how transparent they are.
